By accessing our website, creating an account or purchasing any of our digital products or subscriptions, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

1. About Us

HB Science Resources provides digital educational materials, interactive science animations, lesson-building tools and teaching resources for educators and students.

Our products include interactive Physics, Chemistry and Biology lesson builders, downloadable teaching materials and related digital content.

2. Digital Products and Services

All products purchased directly through HB Science Resources are digital products or services unless otherwise stated.

Depending on the product purchased, customers may receive:

• Access to interactive lesson builders and educational animations.
• Tools for customising lessons and generating teaching presentations.
• Downloadable educational materials.
• Access to additional teaching content included within their chosen package.

The exact content, features, access duration and price of each product are described on its product page or at checkout.

Purchasing a product grants a licence to use the applicable resources. It does not transfer ownership of the software, animations, source code or underlying intellectual property.

3. Purchasing and Payment

Payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy, our authorised payment provider and merchant of record.

By purchasing a product, you agree to the payment terms presented during checkout, including any applicable Lemon Squeezy buyer terms.

Prices are displayed before payment. Applicable taxes may be calculated and added at checkout.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing and account information.

Access to paid content is normally activated after successful payment verification. We may temporarily delay activation where additional payment or security verification is required.

4. Access Duration and Subscriptions

Purchased access remains valid for the duration stated on the product page or at checkout.

Some products may provide fixed-term access, while others may be offered as automatically renewing subscriptions.

Fixed-term purchases expire at the end of their advertised access period unless renewed or extended.

Where a recurring subscription is offered, its price, billing interval and renewal conditions will be disclosed before purchase. Recurring subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.

Customers may request cancellation through their payment provider's customer portal or by contacting us at hello@hbscienceresources.com. To avoid an upcoming renewal, please submit cancellation requests at least 48 hours before the next billing date.

Cancellation normally prevents future renewal charges. Access continues until the end of the paid period unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law.

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically entitle a customer to a refund for an already commenced billing period, subject to applicable consumer rights.

5. Account Registration and Device Usage

Paid resources are licensed to the individual account holder unless an institutional or multi-user licence has been purchased.

Customers must keep their login credentials secure and must not share paid account access with other individuals.

For security and licensing purposes, HB Science Resources may limit the number of devices associated with an account. Any applicable device limit will be displayed or communicated to customers.

We reserve the right to investigate unusual account activity, including simultaneous access patterns consistent with unauthorised account sharing.

Accounts may be temporarily restricted while suspected misuse is investigated. Where a material breach is confirmed, access may be suspended or terminated, subject to applicable law.

Customers experiencing legitimate device changes or access difficulties should contact support for assistance.

6. Educational Usage Licence

Customers with valid access may use our resources for their own educational and professional teaching purposes.

Permitted uses include:

• Delivering lessons using our interactive builders and animations.
• Customising lesson materials for personal classroom use.
• Presenting exported teaching materials to students.
• Distributing lesson handouts to students within the customer's own classes.
• Uploading permitted lesson exports to secure school learning platforms for access by those students.

Downloaded lesson exports may continue to be used for the original purchaser's own teaching after an access period ends, provided they are not redistributed beyond the permitted educational use.

Prohibited uses include:

• Reselling, sublicensing or commercially redistributing our resources.
• Uploading our animations, source files or lesson collections to public file-sharing websites.
• Republishing our resources on TES, Teachers Pay Teachers or competing resource marketplaces.
• Sharing a personal licence across a department or entire school.
• Copying or extracting our animation libraries for incorporation into another commercial teaching platform.
• Reverse-engineering, scraping or bypassing the security measures protecting the lesson builders.

Schools wishing to provide access to multiple members of staff must obtain an appropriate licence.

7. Intellectual Property

All original educational animations, illustrations, designs, software, lesson-builder interfaces, text and associated materials are owned by HB Science Resources or used under applicable licences.

These materials are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Purchasing access does not grant permission to reproduce or commercially exploit the underlying platform or its contents beyond the rights expressly granted in these Terms.

Any third-party trademarks, examination board names or other protected materials remain the property of their respective owners.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

HB Science Resources supplies digital products and online educational services, often with immediate access following purchase.

We encourage customers to review product descriptions, available previews and compatibility information before buying.

Change-of-mind refunds

Where permitted by applicable law, change-of-mind refunds are generally not provided once purchased digital content has been supplied and accessed with the customer's valid consent to immediate delivery and acknowledgement of any resulting loss of cancellation rights.

Requests for discretionary refunds may be considered individually, particularly where a purchase was made in error and the product has not been substantially accessed or used.

Technical problems

If a purchased product is defective, materially different from its description or cannot be accessed due to a confirmed issue on our side, customers should contact hello@hbscienceresources.com.

We will investigate and, where appropriate, attempt to restore access, repair the issue, provide a replacement or arrange a refund.

If a problem cannot reasonably be resolved, a full or partial refund may be provided as required by applicable law.

Duplicate or unauthorised charges

Customers who believe they have been charged incorrectly should contact us with their order details.

Verified duplicate charges and other payments requiring reimbursement will be refunded in accordance with applicable law and payment-provider procedures.

Statutory consumer rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts or overrides rights customers have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

In jurisdictions where consumers have a statutory cancellation period for digital products or services, those rights apply unless a legally valid exception has been satisfied.

Refunds for purchases processed through Lemon Squeezy are subject to the applicable payment-provider procedures and buyer terms.

9. Educational Accuracy and Responsibility

We aim to provide scientifically accurate, accessible and curriculum-relevant teaching resources.

However, educational specifications, examination requirements and scientific information may change.

Customers are responsible for checking that resources remain suitable for their students, examination board and current curriculum.

While reasonable efforts are made to maintain quality, HB Science Resources does not guarantee that every resource is entirely error-free or suitable for every educational context.

Animations and simulations are educational representations and may simplify real-world scientific processes to support understanding.

Teachers retain responsibility for classroom supervision, practical safety, assessment decisions and appropriate resource selection.

10. Platform Availability and Updates

We aim to maintain reliable access to our website and lesson builders.

Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, security updates, service-provider outages or unexpected technical problems.

We may update, improve, correct or replace features and educational materials as part of ongoing development.

We will take reasonable steps to avoid materially reducing the functionality of purchased products during an active paid access period.

Where a material service change substantially affects a customer's purchased rights, we will provide an appropriate remedy as required by law.

Continuous, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

11. User Customisations and Saved Data

Some lesson-builder settings, customisations and preferences may be stored locally within a customer's browser.

Clearing browser storage, switching devices or using private browsing may result in locally stored preferences being lost.

Customers are encouraged to export or retain copies of important lesson materials where the platform provides that functionality.

We do not guarantee recovery of data stored exclusively on a customer's device.

12. Privacy and Security

We process account information, purchasing information and other personal data as described in our separate Privacy Policy.

Authentication and payment functions may be provided through trusted third-party services.

Customers should not enter unnecessary personal or sensitive student information into the lesson builders.

We take reasonable steps to protect our services but cannot guarantee that internet-based systems are completely free from security risks.

13. Misuse and Termination

HB Science Resources may suspend or terminate access where a customer materially breaches these Terms, including through unauthorised redistribution, account sharing, fraudulent activity or attempts to compromise platform security.

Where reasonably practical, customers will be informed of the reason and given an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Immediate restrictions may be imposed where necessary to protect platform security, prevent fraud or comply with legal obligations.

Any termination will remain subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, HB Science Resources is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use or temporary unavailability of its educational resources, including lost teaching time or loss of locally stored browser settings.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or other non-excludable statutory obligations.

Customers retain all remedies available under mandatory consumer protection legislation.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in our products, business operations or legal requirements.

The most recent version will be published on our website with an updated revision date.

Where changes materially affect existing paid subscriptions or access rights, we will provide appropriate notice and any options required by applicable law.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Dubai, UAE, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in the customer's country of residence.

Nothing in this section deprives consumers of legal protections that cannot be excluded by contract.
